PASSPORT QUERIES !

***New Passport***

There are various kinds of opinions about the process (From 'Applying' to 'Receiving') of getting passport in hand.
India is a corrupted country & when it comes to "Sarkaari Kaam", we get worried. But my experience has been 'Good' overall.

But getting a passport in hand, according to my personal experience, now-a-days it don't feel like a "Sarkaari Kaam". Obviously the primary reason being that, Passport is a very important document & it is mandatorily been granted within  3-months from the appointment at a PSK (Passport Seva Kendra).
The second reason being that, the PSKs are maintained by Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), which is one of the largest BPO of Indian Origin. They are very much active & concentrated towards the work, assigned to them.

Now, coming to my personal experience, let me first discuss the documents required during the whole process, & then the steps involved in the process :

Documents Required :
1. Birth Certificate
2. Aadhar Card
3. Voter ID Card
4. PAN Card
5. Class-X Grade Card
6. Class-X Admit Card
7. Class-XII Grade Card
8. Driving License (if you have)
9. Guardian's School leaving Grade Card/Certificate
10.Guardian's Voter ID Card, PAN Card, Aadhar Card.
11.Last 1-year's Electricity / Telephone Bill. (For Address proof)
12.Applicant's Bank passbook- last 1-2 years' transaction Xerox along with the 1st page.

Steps involved :
 1. Register yourself, make payment & submit your Application at " passportindia.gov.in ".
I registered myself online on 29/12/2014

 2. Print out the Appointment Form & visit the PSK (that you've selected), at the mentioned Date & Time.
I printed out the ARN Form & visited PSK Kolkata on 30/01/2015. My time slot was from 2:30 PM. I received my Passport Application receipt & got out of the office at around 04:30 P.M.

 3. Enter PSK, follow the steps. You'll be guided accordingly. You'll have to go through 3 sections -A, B & C. At Section A, Documents' (1-8) are required to be submitted. At Section B, the documents would be attested & verified. At Section C, they'll again look at your documents. Last, you'll have to collect your receipt from the EXIT COUNTER
Simple steps. I was guided by personels at each & every step. You also have to look for your Token number before you reach a counter, at the TV provided at PSK. You are required to carry Original & Xerox of respective documents (No. 01-08)

 4. You'll be called by your respective thana (Police Station), for Police Verification. (Within 1 month from the Appointment Date.)
I was called at the registered mobile number & was asked to visit the regional police station or 'Thana', along with the Original & Xerox of all the mentioned Documents (No. 01-12).
*Remember*---*All my documents were not accepted on the first day, though my Documents were very much correct. Those were accepted on the second day when I paid the policeman, a bribe of ₹400/- in an envelope.* (The rate varies-- One of my friend paid ₹300, while another one paid ₹500.)

 5. You wont have to do anything more. You can track your Status for your file number at the Passport India Website mentioned above, or at the mPassport Seva app at your mobile devices.

6. You will receive the passport at your registered adress within another 1-month from the date of Completion of Police Verification.
I finally received my Passport on 18/03/2015. The postman asked for some amount & he was paid ₹20/-.

[The steps will be this easy & smooth if you have all the above mentioned documents. You can either apply for NORMAL, if you have atleast 3-months of time in your hand. If required immediately, apply for TATKAL.]

Since, I subscribed to the SMS seva, below is the screenshot of the whole process, my Passport had gone through-
Important : Do not get in touch with any 'Agents'. They will unnecessarily take excess amount from you. The steps, now-a-days are so simplified, that you don't really need any external help.

Hope this information helped you in some way or the other! Happy Passport-ing! :D

Dilwale Shah Rukh 'Only' Can !

He is the King of Hearts. He knows how to win hearts. He is the King of Romance. He is the King of Bollywood. The Second-richest entertainer in the world, he is the undisputed Badshaah of Bollywood.

He is ruling the hearts of many, since Decades. His book, which he started writing some 20-odd years ago, named "Twenty years of a Decade", may not have yet ended, but surely one fine day, we will get the opportunity to read something like "Hundred Years of Five-Decades" or so on..., authored by him. Atleast, I 'HOPE' so.
He is none other than Shah Rukh Khan. He is the one, who has taken the Indian Film Industry at World Stage. He is the one, whose name is equally famous everywhere, be it Domestic or Overseas.
His craze is breath taking. One will always feel the sense of pride & happiness, being SRK lover (fan).

He is also the King of creating History. His movie Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge, just completed 1000-weeks run at the Box Office. For the past 19-years it has been continuously running at Maratha Mandir, Mumbai. His charm, wit, acting, emotions graced the film to another level. Along with itShah Rukh Khan, obviously, comes the epic love story & direction by Aditya Chopra.

Guess what? A thought is just striking my mind....according to Aditya Chopra, when SRK was not giving his confirmation, whether he would sign the film or not, Adi Chpra actually thought of casting Saif Ali Khan. I wounder how would have this movie ended in box office & how long would it had managed to run at theatres. :P
There has been a hell lot of celebrations for the casts of DDLJ, be it the special event at Yash Raj Studio, or be it at Comedy Nights with Kapil (with Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol, Anupam Kher, Farida Jalal, & Puja Ruparel), or be it at Maratha Mandir, where SRK & Kajol went to celebrate with the general Audience.

Due to the #1000weeksOfDDLJ celebration, the movie is been shown all over India at selected Halls, throughout the 1000th week. I, just returned home watching the movie at Navina Cinema, Kolkata, and the experience has been priceless. Each & every scene of Shah Rukh Khan was greeted by Seetis, Applauses & Loud Cheers. It was like no other actors were able to make an impact & impress the audience watching DDLJ. The Audience consisted of a child, about 5-6 years of age to Aged persons, nearly 80-85 years of age. The environment was electrifying. The experience was phenomenal. Its an Evergreen & Priceless Movie. What feels great, is that, people still love watching the movie, even after 19-years of its release. It was like witnessing the history. The hall was almost housefull with just 4-5 seats left. This is his charm & impact on a Movie theatre screen.

Coming back to television, I watched the 2 episodes of Comedy Nights with Kapil, which were aired on 13th & 14th December, 2014 on Colours TV for the 1000weeks of DDLJ. There was so much wit, humour, fun & tidbits about Dilwale Dulhaniya......!

I was spell-bounded by the amount of cheering was done by the crowd (audience) present there. They all gave standing ovation to him , and believe me- It really feels great when audience greets, complements & cheers your idol. What a view it was. This is what, shows how much, so many people, Love & Respect him. This is what he is meant for.
He is the King of Hearts, the Badshaah of Bollywood, & the Undisputed King in the Indian Film Industry. Cheers to him & on his success. May he be blessed with all Health & Happiness in life. May he keeps on offering us 'Legendary' films like DDLJ, again & again. May his book finally be published.

Till then, will have to read the book, "Aditya Chopra relieves......Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge". :D

And yes......only Shah Rukh Khan can achieve this. He only can create history. Only he can be the 'Lover Boy' - "RAJ"....Naam toh suna hi hoga! ;)
Come....Fall in Love..!

My Lady for Life

She is my Lady...

She is Sweet, She is Gorgeous, She is Beautiful, She is Awesome, She is Innocent, She is Understanding, She is my Love..!

A Lady being loved by me...or may be her nature & love towards me, made me fall in love with her...
She is a kind-hearted lady, with a Sweet & pure-heart, which can very rarely be seen at Gen Y ladies, these days...
She is Matured, but still, she is so much innocent...at the same time she is so understanding...

She loves "Truth",  hates "Lies" & being 'Hurt' by anyone...She seems tough outside, but she is very soft within...
I often call her 'my' Hitler, 'coz sometimes I get scoldings from her, but the points she speaks, seems to b of a lot of Value to me..I find this very much Sweet, Lovely & somewhat education of Life..

I respect her, as she choose & Loved me the way I am...no one in the world 'had' or 'will' ever understand me, the way she did/do! She is a darling to my heart!
She love my Callousness, my casualness, my jokes, my unique sounds, etc, etc...She finds me sweet! (I'm still in doubt about my sweetness, haha.. :-P)
I adore her, as though she got hurt but still, she accepted my past as it was & never questioned me!

I really love her, the way she is & never want her to change.
I never wanna loose her...she has been the most-expensive gift in my life...
She is my life..

She s being adored by me,
She is my Love,
She is my Life,
And yes...
She is my Lady...! <3

Jab Tak Hai Jaan - Feel the Ultimate Love

Jab Tak Hai Jaan – The Ultimate Love Story

Cast :- Shah Rukh Khan (as Samar)
                 Katrina Kaif (as Meera)
                 Anushka Sharma (as Akira)
                 Anupam Kher
                 Rishi Kapoor
                 Neetu Kapoor

Director :- Yash Chopra

Words will not do justice to the swan song of a great filmmaker, but one has to try. So here it goes.
Some people really know how to make a film. Jab Tak Hai Jaan (JTHJ) is Yash Chopra’s last film as director and it’s a film rich in philosophy, poetic love and honest emotions. Like any piece of commercial cinema, it has its cinematic liberties and plot holes. But the sum of it is an old school love story that weaves its magic on the tender hearts of die-hard romantics. The King of romance lives up to his epithet.

The film is based on the love story of Samar Anand (ShahRukh Khan) and Meera (Katrina Kaif), about how they fall in love, then get separated & then again patch up with lots of twists and turns. The film starts off in London where Samar is a desi boy desperate to earn an honest living in a foreign land. He runs into the ravishing Meera who entrusts all her faith in Jesus. Samar helps Meera get over her pent up anxieties and in the process they fall in love. And just when you think the film’s running into the oh-we’ve-seen-that-before territory a twist separates the lovers. SRK’s forced to move to India where he runs into the boisterous Akira. Akira’s daredevil personality and spirit impresses Samar. But of course she’s alive and happening because she loves him.

The story seems like a run-of-the-mill love triangle but there’s more to their dilemma than just the obvious. You don’t have melodramatic and unreal sacrifices or two women competing to woo their man. Instead you get a mature sense of camaraderie between the characters. And some master class writing where the same-old same-old “yadaash kho jaana” is crafted in the form of retrograde amnesia.

A.R.Rahman’s music at the background adds a touch of magic to the film.

JTHJ is (according to me) the best Romantic cinema made in this Generation. A hallmark film. A must-watch film.

The film should get minimum 4/5 at the critic’s corner.

FINANCIAL PLANNING

FINANCIAL  PLANNING

Just like how a house needs a strong foundation to withstand the elements, one needs to have a solid financial foundation. Creating our financial foundation requires that we have the basics covered. Here's what we need to know.
Budgeting
At the very basic level of personal finance we are dealing with a budget; we make money and then we spend that money. Even if we haven’t created a detailed and written budget we continue to budget on a daily basis. When we are faced with spending money on something we think about it and realize that by spending that money we will not be able to spend that same money on something else.
Once we can see the inflows and outflows of our money we can optimize our spending so that necessary items are sure to be covered while cutting back on wasteful spending that will allow us to save money.

Cutting Expenses

After creating a budget we should begin to see where expenses may need to be reduced in order to meet our goals. For some people this means eating out less and for others it could mean getting rid of that extra vehicle. Whatever the case may be, everyone has an area or two where money can be saved by reducing some basic expenses.

Insurance

Insurance is important because we have worked hard to build a solid financial footing for us and our family so it needs to be protected. Accidents and disasters can and do happen and if we aren’t adequately insured  it could leave us in financial ruin.
Some insurance policies are required and everyone should have these types of coverage but there are many other types of insurance policies that are probably not needed  and we could be wasting precious bucks that could be put to work elsewhere. There is a fine line between having enough insurance and being over-insured.

Saving for Retirement

Retirement savings needs to become a priority instead of an afterthought. The Internal Revenue Service has made saving for retirement even more attractive with special tax-advantaged accounts such as employer 401(k) plans, individual retirement accounts and special retirement accounts for the self-employed. These allow for tax deductions, credits and even tax free earnings on retirement savings.
Whether we are just out of college and have 40 years until retirement or we plan on retiring next year it is never too late to plan and to maximize your retirement savings.

Want my SCHOOL-DAYS back!!
I wish each & every day of my LIFE would have been like my “School-Days”. School days had been of real fun. Always tried, never to miss a single day at School. My School (B.D.M.International) is like my 2nd home. Never understood, Actually how much we used to Love our Teachers and Vice-Versa.

Now, when I have been promoted to college(DAITM), I can feel the pain to stay away from my home!
Staying away from School, is like, I’m suffering from severe fever & no one is giving/buying me medicines.

At College all of us are Friends n all are nice to each other, but the type of ‘Bonding’ which our friendship  used to have, Unfortunately, is definitely missing at College.
About 20 official working days at college has passed, but, still I’m not been able to Love my College. Somewhere at the bottom of my heart, the pillar of my School-memories is been built very strong.
I kno that 20-days is too early to say anything regarding Liking/Disliking about this college, but the writings is exclusively my personal thought.

Things what I miss from my School-life, at this College-
a) A big Campuss
b) So many friends
c) Friendly teachers
d) 35-minute class
e) Very-strong bonding among Friends
f) Well-equipped Laboratory(FMM Lab & Computer Lab)

Can’t write more, ‘coz the more I’ll write, more it will remind me of the Past Memories, which really makes me emotional & nostalgic.

My EXPERIENCE AT & ABOUT B.D.M.INTERNATIONAL ..!

"SCHOOL DAYS  are really the BEST DAYS of life".....is it so???????

Now,
It’s 31st March…. A.I.S.S.C.E  2012( class-12 boardz exam,CBSE) ends….
Now it’s all over. Just  “a” day left to wear the school dress, i.e. , on the result day.
This will not hurt me so much , but it’ll be very painfull to live without that momentzz we(friends) enjoyed at school right from the Morning to the Afternoon.. Can’t forget the enjoyment at the tutions the whole Eve… It was a daily Schedule for a quite number of years of my life… I thank all those friends who were very kind to make my School-life “WorthWhile”….The best three standards in my school life where a lot of drama (sadness, entertainment, romance, argue, etc.)  took place were Classes- 8; 10; & 12…… will never forget these 3 batches….

There were many moments when I had quarrelled or fought wid my mates.....But they're the "PART & PARCEL" of life....So dont keep all those bitter memeries in life!!.....
I always felt that my friends were very lucky to have me as a friend…….But frankly speaking , after I came to class 12, I felt that I was very lucky to be a part of this batch…
So LOVE & RESPECT for them.. :)

When I talk about B.D.M.International, how can I forget the teachers?? They are responsible for a major portion of who & how  are we now…  Several times we had argued …. Met with some of the very lovable n friendly ; & with some of the “Kharoos” teachers….but my love and respect for each n every  teacher is same.. It is not fake… it comes from the core of my heart…. I’m sure that the teachers also do the same… will miss them too….
total respect for 1 man…….and that is Mr.Arindam Bakshi…..(our Bakshi Sir, finance teacher)

I thank especially to some of the dearest ones who had been really close to my heart…. Few of them are Sohini Sengupta; Sayantika Sengupta; Sayantani; Sonali Sinha; Sonali Mitra; Sreyashi Das; etc….Would take Ishita Das' name separately, coz she was really close to my heart!......Hope all Have a wndrful n successful future ahead… GOD bless!  :)

For the first time in life ever, I felt that I should follow the guy…He is my brother-like-friend,  Neelanjan Roy…A true gentle-man….Frankly speaking , the best dude I met ever was him….. I thank B.D.M.I, where I got such a gr8 friend..I adore u , man!!!! :D

will really miss some of my friends who were close to me througout the last 2 years..... Ronit,Subir,Sinchan,Rittick,Mainak,Neelanjan,Debarpan,Sunandan,Benny......I hope I've not missed any name... If so plz pardon me...

I had been a part of this school for 15 long years.....now when I'm writing all this, though its funny but true, that    I am feeling funny,sad,angry,romantic,etc..etc... It's bcoz all the memories {right from the first class(nursery) to class-12} are swimming together in the lake of my mind!!!
